Celebration and Events along Buffalo's Waterfront

July 4th Celebration: Buffalo's Official Fourth of July Celebration.

July 4th Celebration: Buffalo's Official Fourth of July Celebration will take place on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the Central Wharf on the Erie Canal Harbor.

On Sunday, July 4th, celebrate our independence with an expanded fireworks display and great local musical acts at Buffalo's Fourth of July Celebration at the Erie Canal Harbor - Central Wharf.  The event will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will include children’s activities and continuous entertainment.

Musical performers will include:

5:00 p.m. - Cadenza of the Colored Musicians Club of Buffalo
6:45 p.m. - Flag Folding Ceremony followed by Ira G. Ross Aerospace Museum World War II PBY Catalina Flying Boat flyover
7:45 p.m. - Tom Stahl and the Dangerfields
9:00 - Lance Diamond
10:15 p.m.  - Fireworks over the Buffalo River

Buffalo Trivia with Dennis George will be featured throughout the day and hands-on children's activities will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This event is free and open-to-the-public.  No coolers, bottles or outside concessions will be permitted within the event site.  All personal bags, backpacks, wagons and buggies are subject to inspection.  Ample parking will be available in paid lots and ramps in and around the HSBC Arena or access the NFTA MetroRail Park and Ride.  Coolers, cans, bottles and outside concessions will not be permitted on the event grounds.  Nominally priced concessions will be available for purchase on-site.  Folding chairs/blankets are welcome.  This event is brought to you in part by the City of Buffalo, Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation and Buffalo Place Inc.  For more information, visit www.eriecanalharbor.com.
