Celebration and Events along Buffalo's Waterfront

July 4th Celebration: Buffalo's Official Fourth of July Celebration.

July 4th Celebration: Buffalo's Official Fourth of July Celebration will take place on Friday, July 4, 2008 at the Central Wharf on the Erie Canal Harbor.

 

This free-to-the-public event, brought to you by the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation, Buffalo Place Inc. and the City of Buffalo, will feature some of Buffalo's best talent and a fabulous fireworks display over the Buffalo River in celebration of the opening of the Erie Canal Harbor and the Independence Day holiday.

 

Performances are scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. and include The Rod Nickson Project, Boys of Summer, Wendell Rivera Latin Jazz Ensemble, Jackdaw and Buffalo Trivia with Dennis George will be featured throughout the day. There will also be hands-on children's activities from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Ample parking will be available in paid lots and ramps in and around the HSBC Arena or access the NFTA MetroRail Park and Ride. Coolers, cans, bottles and outside concessions are not permitted on the event grounds. Nominally priced concessions will be available for purchase on-site. Folding chairs/blankets are welcome.
