2008 Bassmaster Elite Series Empire Chase winner Kotaro Kiriyama
Thinking small paid big dividends for Bassmaster Elite Series pro Kotaro Kiriyama of Moody, Ala., as he kept with a plan to key in on bait fish and surged to the lead Saturday to take the lead on Day 3 in the Empire Chase. Kiriyama’s 25 pounds is the heaviest five-fish limit of the four-day tournament so far on Lake Erie and the Niagara River.

Buffalo Place Rocks the Harbor:
Buffalo Place Rocks the Harbor makes its triumphant return on Friday and Saturday, August 15th and 16th at the Erie Canal Harbor. Newfoundland Celtic rockers, Great Big Sea will kick off the weekend event on Friday with very special guest Mason Jennings. The Robert Cray Band will headline the Saturday concert and blues singer-songwriter, Keb' Mo' will kick off this evening of performance on Buffalo's beautiful waterfront. |

Bassmaster Elite Series Empire Chase.
 July 31, 2008 - August 3, 2008
"Be on the lake when its all on the line" - Bassmaster Elite Series Empire Chase returns to Buffalo this summer. 110 of the worlds top anglers compete for over $650,000 in prizes. Daily Weigh-Ins start at 5pm. Weekend family activities include Meet the Anglers, Bassmaster University, Fishing Tips, and much more. All events are free to the public.
