Enjoy local crafts, food and entertainment at this open-air market located on the boardwalk at Buffalo Waterfront’s premiere urban event space, Canalside!

On the last Sunday of June, July, August and September from 11:00AM – 5:00PM a rotating assortment of vendors will showcase their best work for your purchasing pleasure. While you walk the boardwalk, enjoy live performances from local talent, and Live Fearless activities provided by BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York.

BECOMING A CREATOR ON THE BOARDWALK:

Selling at the Market is quite easy; however, this is a limited marketplace. In order to ensure a well-balanced event, not every seller who applies will be guaranteed participation. For consideration, submit your application for the 2020 season by May 1st, 2020.

If accepted, your payment will be invoiced with a due date of May 24th, 2020. There is a $35.00 vendor fee per date or a seasonal discount package fee of $99.00 applies for all vendors who commit to all four dates. Additionally, Canalside Management will assist in obtaining your required City of Buffalo vendor permit, which will be included in the vendor fee.

ELIGABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

All products must be screened and accepted before being sold at the Canal. The general guidelines are:

  • Items and selections must be handmade, grown, gathered or curated by the artist/vendor/creator, cost a member of their immediate family living in New York, or a partner in craft living in New York.
  • The creator’s contribution to a finished product must outweigh the contribution of any commercial components used in the making of that product. Skills in craftsmanship, as well as creative abilities, ingenuity and design skills are examples of artist contribution.
  • The product must meet basic expectations of product life, function, and safety.

You MUST have a New York State tax ID number to sell at the Market.
