Basic Mountain Bike Skills and Riding

This free event introduces riders (aged 10-100) to riding bicycles on the dirt trails of the new Buffalo Outer Harbor Lake Side Bike Park. Participants will learn essentials skills required to safely start mountain bicycling from BICP certified instructors. . The event will include bike & helmet check, safety lessons, basic skill training, and 30- 40 minute ( as time permits) ride on the bike trails at Lakeside Bike Park. Participants must be proficient 2 wheel bicycle riders and have their own suitable mountain bicycle & helmet to ride. Rental bicycles are available at Lake Side Bike Park, Campus Wheel Works (716.881.3613) and Tom's Pro Bike (716.651.9995). If renting please make arrangements well in advance.

Registration is mandatory via free tickets. Class sizes are limited
> Participants under 18 must have a parent/ legal guardian present at all times during the event and to sign waiver.
> Bicycles must be appropriate sized and in good working order. Any safety issues with bikes may prevent you from riding. If you are unsure please consult with your local bike shop
> Properly fitted helmets are mandatory! Again if you are unsure consult with your local bike shop.
> Gloves, eye wear, knee & elbow pads are optional but not discouraged.
> Participants must be ready to start promptly at 6:30pm
> Participants need to supply their own water bottle (there is water available at the park), sunscreen, bug repellent based on conditions.
