July 4th Celebration

Throw on your best red, white and blue attire and head to the Buffalo Waterfront this July 4th! This family friendly event begins at 4P with the arrival of the Basil Port of Call Tall Ships, a dance party with DJ Milk and DJ Yes, local food trucks, a Silent Disco in Clinton's Dish Beer Garden at 6PM and, of course, a beautiful fireworks display at 10P!

Security screenings will begin at 2PM on Marine Drive. *Please note that Canalside will be closed to public access from 1:30P-2P

All bags and event goers are subject to security inspection. The following information is designed to assist in expediting the entry process.

ONE (1) SEALED BOTTLE OF WATER PERMITTED PER GUEST

Items that must be placed on the security inspection tables:

  • All metal
  • Bags (large backpacks are not permitted)
  • Cell phones
  • Keys
  • Electronic devices
  • Chairs
  • Blankets

Prohibited items deemed inappropriate or dangerous by security, including:

  • Weapons of any kind
  • Air horns
  • Animals (unless a service animal)
  • Backpacks/large tote bags
  • Bicycles (within the secure perimeter)
  • Fireworks
  • Glass containers
  • Illegal drugs/drug paraphernalia
  • Laser pointers
  • Outside food or beverage, including coolers (1 sealed bottle of water permitted per guest)
  • Professional video and photo cameras
  • Recording devices
  • Selfie sticks, tripods or monopods

As part of the enhanced plan, Mayor Brown encouraged motorists to park East of Main Street or North of Scott Street, and access public transportation. He also encouraged motorists to park on City streets in the Central Business District or park in City-owned parking facilities, located within walking distance of the light-rail on Main Street.
