Bell Slip invites you to:

  • Visit from sunrise to sunset
  • Enjoy the gardens without entering flowerbeds or picking flowers
  • Bicycle, rollerblade or skateboard at low speeds on designated paths without jeopardizing the safety of other patrons
  • Fish at designated areas within the site

Site guidelines prohibit:

  • Entering the park after sunset
  • Use of motorized vehicles
  • Smoking, drug use and carrying/discharging firearms
  • The possession or consumption of alcohol
  • Disruption to plants and wildlife
  • Barbecuing, cooking, commercial activity, performances and erecting of tents, except by special permit
  • Campfires, grills or grilling of any kind
  • Defying actions from management and staff

Bell Slip Construction

The Bell Slip Improvement project brings much requested amenities to the Buffalo Outer Harbor. This includes a public restroom building and an additional parking lot at a central location. A shaded seating area will be along the one side of the restroom building, facing Bell Slip. This project will also allow the public to get closer to the waters edge with the construction of an overlook deck at Bell Slip. Pedestrian and Bike paths will be slightly modified to provide a connection to Fuhrmann Boulevard. The Bell Slip Improvement project is schedule to be complete and opened to the public in 2024.
