Miles of paved trails connect Canalside to the Outer Harbor and beyond. Bike rentals are available seasonally.

Walking & Running

The waterfront's flat, scenic paths make for some of the best walking and running routes in Buffalo. Lace up and log your miles with Lake Erie views the whole way.

Kayaking

Get out on the water and see Canalside and the Outer Harbor from a different angle. Bring your own kayak or rent one right on-site. No experience needed.

Paddle & Pedal Boats

A classic waterfront experience for all ages. Hop in a paddle or pedal boat and take a leisurely tour of the harbor at your own pace.

Boat Tours

Get out on the water for a different perspective on Buffalo's waterfront history. Seasonal boat tours depart from Canalside and explore the harbor, the Buffalo River, and the city's industrial past.

Bike Ferry

For only $1, catch the Queen City Bike Ferry between Canalside and the Outer Harbor, a five- to 10-minute scenic ride across the water. Runs seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Park Golf at Wilkeson Pointe

A fun, accessible take on traditional golf set against the backdrop of the Outer Harbor. Open seasonally at Wilkeson Pointe and great for all ages and skill levels.

Volleyball

Drop in for a game on the sand courts at Canalside or the Outer Harbor. Open to the public and free to play.
